V Rising: How to Get Hallow Wood

There are plenty of different crafting resources in V Rising and some are never easy to pick up. The problem can be that you have no idea where to find them. Other times, they can be in regions full of dangerous enemies that you aren’t powerful enough to manage yet.

Early on in V Rising, you might be on the hunt for Hallow Wood but you might need some help pointing you in the right direction. That is what we are here for.

Where to Get Hallow Wood in V Rising

When you construct your Sawmill, you will see the recipe for Hallow Wood. It will give you 4 Planks and 1 Oil. You can use the oil to make some leather among other things. There is no information in V Rising about how to get ahold of the Hallow Wood.

The good news is that when you figure out where you can pick up some Hallow Wood the hard part is over. The Hallowed Mountains are the only place you will find this elusive resource. You can be forgiven for not considering the Hallowed Mountains because not much goes on in the snowy forests in the east of V Rising. A lot of players just forget about the Hallowed Mountains unless they build their castle there.

There are a few fans of V Rising who assumed that Hallow Wood would have come from the Hallowed Mountains but when they tried to harvest the trees there, they came away with normal wood. That is simply because Hallow Wood comes from a specific type of tree. When you head to the Hallowed Mountains, try to find bigger and thicker trees.

The difference is easy to notice. As you start gathering, keep an eye on the notification of what you're picking up. Remember that you can farm wood 25% faster when you have an axe or greatsword equipped.

Now you know where to get some Hallow Wood, you can gather as much as you want. If your base is far away, you can always use the nearby Waygate in V Rising. Hallow Wood is teleportable so you will have no problem moving across the map in a few seconds.
