Valorant Episode 8 New Map Pool Revealed

Our trusty leaker, ValorMike, finally revealed the official new map pool for Episode 8 Act 1. The last time the map pool in Valorant changed was in September 2023, with the maps Fracture, Pearl, and Icebox being temporarily removed and updated by Riot Games. This new map pool is set to launch with the next competitive season on January 10th. Here is the full list of maps that will be available in Valorant's competitive modes during Episode 8 Act 1:

  • Icebox
  • Lotus
  • Sunset
  • Breeze
  • Ascent
  • Bind
  • Split

And these are the maps that will not be part of the map pool in the upcoming Act:

  • Fracture
  • Haven
  • Pearl

Map Changes to Icebox and Lotus Announced

Alongside the reveal of the new map pool for Episode 8 Act 1, ValorMike also revealed some information about potential changes to some of the maps that will be available. Icebox and Lotus are going to be entering the map pool with some new tweaks, based on the feedback provided by high-level players.
