You can delve into the details of The Season of Discovery in this article, and now, we present our DPS Ranking.
S-Tier
Fury Warrior
The Fury Warrior is expected to be a popular choice among players due to its incredible power, a trend likely to surge further with the increasing levels in the upcoming expansion, SoD. DPS Warriors are anticipated to be exceptionally robust, excelling in both AoE and Single Target Damage, making them a compelling and versatile choice for players seeking formidable damage output.

Retribution Paladin
Even with recent adjustments, Retribution Paladins are expected to be very strong, especially in dealing high damage to individual targets. The power of their weapons, like Verigan's Fist, will make them even more formidable. Importantly, they are moving away from their previous role as mostly Auto-Attack characters, adding more versatility to their playstyle.
Fire Mage
Fire Mages will emerge as a formidable force, even considering their mana challenges. The increase in critical hits will significantly enhance their performance. With their substantial raw damage output, they prove to be an excellent choice for players seeking powerful options in the game.

Arcane Mage
Arcane Mages excel in both healing and damage, making them a versatile and strong choice for many players. Arcane Blast and Arcane Surge will be OP.
Warlock
Warlocks stand out as another solid choice, thanks to their substantial damage output, especially with abilities like Lake of Fire. They shine in single-target situations. Choosing a Warlock is a safe bet for SoD, and their unique ability to tank adds an enjoyable bonus aspect to their attributes.
Marksmanship Hunter & Beast Mastery Hunter
Despite significant nerfs, Hunters remain a solid choice. While they might not be as overwhelmingly overpowered as before, they still pose a significant threat, especially because of their DPS focus.

A-Tier
Assassination Rogue
Exceptional in single-target attacks, particularly with their Ranged Slow ability. However, they have limitations in terms of Cleave and AoE damage.
Balance Druid
Unlike many other specs listed in other tiers, Balance Druids do not encounter mana issues, making them unstoppable in battle.
Frost Mage
Frost Mages can deliver decent damage, especially with the Fingers of Frost ability, allowing them to act as if the target is frozen, leading to increased critical chance. This chance becomes even greater with Burnout. Icy Veins increases haste, making many Mage specs feel much stronger. While Frost Mages should not be underestimated, particularly in PvE, it's important to note that they are generally weaker compared to Arcane and Fire Mages.

Feral Druid
Feral Druids have weak DPS and encounter significant mana issues. However, they will have some viable options.
Enhancement Shaman & Elemental Shaman
Enhancement Shamans are expected to have decent but not highly competitive DPS. They might shine more in the late game. Despite losing Bloodlust and Windfury, Shamans remain a good choice.
