WoW Season of Discovery: Rogue Shadowflame Sword Guide

With the Molten Core raid now available in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 4, many guilds are trying to clear the classic instance, however, the devs have added more amazing surprises including new gear, a new boss, and even new weapons!

With that in mind, we will take a look at how you can obtain the new Rogue sword Shadowflame with a powerful effect and cool visuals as well as all of the requirements needed to craft it. 

WoW SoD Shadowflame Sword Guide

The exclusive Shadowflame Sword is a must-have for Rogues wanting to increase their damage output and look cool doing so. What makes the weapon unique is that once you use Blade Flurry you are engulfed in Shadowflame. 

To craft the sword, you will need to combine Implacable Blackguard and Shadowflame Skull. This will require some grinding but it should be fairly doable for players wanting to add some flair to their characters. Here is how you can obtain both of the items:

• You can get the Shadowflame Skull from Majordomo Executus in the Molten Core raid. 
• You can obtain the Implacable Blackguard by reaching Exalted with the Thorium Brotherhood and either craft your own Blackguard with Blacksmithing. Alternatively, you can simply purchase a Blackguard from another player without having to be Exalted.

For your convenience, here are the needed materials to craft the Blackguard:

• Lava Core (6) dropped by mobs in Molten Core
• Fiery Core (6) dropped by mobs in Molten Core
• Arcanite Bar (10) Blacksmithing material
• Dark Iron Bar (6) Blacksmithing material
• Guardian Stone (12) dropped by Stone Guardians in Un'Goro Crater

This weapon can only be crafted at the Forge of Lord Incendius in Blackrock Depths. 

How to Get Implacable Blackguard

Once you have a Blackguard you will need to upgrade it by reaching Honored with the Thorium Brotherhood and exchanging it along with the following items:

• Firelands Ember (25) dropped by mobs in Searing Gorge
• Lava Core (2) dropped by mobs in Molten Core

You will then need to head into Blackrock Depths and speak to Lokhtos Darkbargainer in the Grim Guzzler area of the instance so you can purchase the Implacable Blackguard.

How to Get Honored with Thorium Brotherhood

You can increase your reputation with the Thorium Brotherhood and earn Firelands Ember by completing the daily quests from the Blackrock Eruption Event in Searing Gorge. This is also a good way of grinding out your reputation with the Hydraxian Waterlords as well.
