World of Warcraft Season of Discovery allowed for some classes to take up new roles in the game through the new runes that were added for Phase 1. We will be taking a look at the healer classes currently so you can see which will best fit your play style and your group's needs depending on the encounter in Blackfathom Deeps.
Since Blizzard devs are fast to react to any overpowered abilities and items, the meta can shift from week to week, but we will take a look at the best picks currently so you heal through all of the raid bosses.
With that being said, let's get healing!

WoW SoD S Tier PvE Healer Classes
This tier list is entirely based on the bosses in Blackfathom Deeps so we will be examining all of the available classes and how they manage to deal with mechanics and provide reliable healing to your group. The S Tier Classes excel at almost everything a healer needs to do in a raid environment.
Priest Healer
No other class comes close to the healing power Priests have. And with some new toys to use in Season of Discovery, this class will remain a staple Healer throughout the other phases as well.
The amount of versatility in terms of healing, buffs, and utility Priests offer to the table cannot be matched currently by the other classes.

WoW SoD A Tier PvE Healer Classes
The A tier classes are slightly weaker in comparison to the classes listed above, but that does not mean that they are not viable they do lack some polish that Priests have.
Mage Healer
The newest addition to the Healer roster, Mages can now heal as well as deal quite a lot of damage. This new play style warrants Mages primarily focusing down bosses whilst providing sufficient healing to the tank.
This class is for players who do not wish to feel like a glorified heal bot, but also provide some damage on top of the healing.
Druid Healer
Druid Healers can offer great AoE healing to the raid through their new runes and can furthermore weave in Wrath casts between healing the tank and DPS. Another great quirk of Druids is that they excel at offering regenerative abilities which can allow players to heal several players simultaneously.

WoW SoD B Tier PvE Healer Classes
Similar to A tier classes, these classes are not to be underestimated, however, they can be optional picks when there are much better healers in the game currently.
Paladin Healer
Overall, the Paladin can be a jack of all trades in terms of being a Healer as players can weave in important raid-wide abilities that boost the stats of players whilst healing and having the ability to deal some damage in the meantime.
Although the healing provided by Paladins is not as exceptional as what Priests and Druids offer, at least players can find enjoyment in playing Paladins in SoD Phase 1.
Shaman Healer
As with other classes in similar situations, Shamans do not have access to their prime healing abilities to keep up with the other available options in Phase 1 due to the level 25 cap. Hopefully, Phase 2 will shift the Shaman to a higher spot as a healer with the addition of new runes and items.
