With the release of SoD Phase 2, many players are hurrying to reach level 40 so they can try out the new Gnomeregan 10-man raid with new boss mechanics and loot to gear up your character.
Amidst the several clears of the instance, it seems that players have received a drop for a mount that was previously unobtainable.
We will be taking a look at the new mount and some interesting backstory as to why the mount became infamous back in the day of WoW Vanilla.

WoW SoD Phase 2 Gnomeregan Mount Drop
Players recently discovered that the Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider can drop from the last boss in the Gnomeregan Raid - Mekgineer Thermaplugg. What is interesting is that the mount dropped as a BoE as players attempted to sell it on the Auction House, but Blizzard was quick to hotfix this, making it BoP.
The Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider was obtained by a player who mistakenly had deleted their normal Mechanostrider mount and had submitted a ticket. A GM responded to the ticket and had mistakenly sent the unobtainable mount, making this the only player to ever own the mount.
The new Gnomeregan Raid has a lot of other goodies in store for players to discovery, so we will be closely monitoring the community for any other interesting drops of quest you can complete in WoW SoD Phase 2.
