WoW TWW Season 2 - Best Death Knight Crafted Gear

With the new season for The War Within now live, players are rushing to get the best available gear for their specs, and not only are there multiple sources of acquiring new items, but the devs have also provided some very suitable options for crafted gear.

With that being said, we will go over the best choices for Death Knights and the embellishments to use. This guide should serve as a basic introduction for players coming into Season 2 as to which items they should prioritize as they progress into raiding and Mythic+.

Death Knight Crafted Gear & Embellishments

NOTE: Although this is not a fully-fledged BiS list, we will only take a look at the best crafted items you get.

As always, using Droptimizer to pick out good upgrades is the most surefire way to gear up your character as fast as possible. 

Blood

Best Crafted Gear

• Consecrated Cloak
• Everforged Vambraces

Best Embellishments

• Elemental Focusing Lens
• Dawnthread Lining

1. Make sure to first craft the Consecrated Cloak along with the Elemental Focusing Lens. Afterwards, you can go for the Everforged Vambraces once again with Elemental Focusing Lens or Dawnthread Lining if you are short on gems.
2. Running 2x Elemental Focusing Lens is a surefire way to up your DPS, as getting Onyx gems for the San'layn hero talents should be optimal. 

Frost

Best Crafted Gear

• Charged Slicer
• Consecrated Cloak
• Everforged Vambraces

Best Embellishments

• Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension
  
• Writhing Armor Banding
• Dawnthread Lining

1. Whether you are looking to predominantly raid or Mythic+, you should opt to craft your weapons first as Charged Slicer/ Everforged Longsword/ Everforged Mace with the Darkmoon Sigil: Ascension should be your priority early on into the season. 
2. Afterwards, you can go for the Everforged Vambraces with Writhing Armor Banding.

Unholy

Best Crafted Gear

• Charged Claymore
• Consecrated Cloak
• Everforged Vambraces

Best Embellishments

• Elemental Focusing Lens
• Duskthread Lining

1. If you are unlucky the first couple of weeks, then go ahead and craft the Charged Claymore
2. Afterwards go for the Consecrated Cloak and Everforged Vambraces 
3. Depending on whether you will go for single target damage use Elemental Focusing Lens or Duskthread Lining for 2+ targets
4. Utilizing 2x Elemental Focusing Lens should serve you well currently if you are an avid raider, but the damage change is almost negligible should you go for Duskthread Lining.
