This time around 4 dungeons have been deployed for players to test out, namely the 4 new The War Within dungeons that were not a part of the Season 1 Mythic+ pool. We will take a look at all of the shared changes to see whether Season 2 will be able to accommodate all of the different mechanics, trash, and bosses in a competitive and fair setting.

First, we’d like to slow the pace of combat to allow for more coordination when groups are faced with dangerous casters. We’ve generally increased the cast times of more dangerous spells and removed, simplified, or slowed the casts of others.

Secondly, we’ve been reviewing the frequency of ‘tank buster’ mechanics throughout our dungeons. We’d like to generally reserve this gameplay for more dangerous creatures and dungeon bosses, so we’ve removed some instances of tank damage that we felt were inappropriate.

Overall, these changes should make Mythic+ in The War Within much more enjoyable, however, the massive tank nerfs and the overabundance of required healing might further thwart players from pushing higher keys. You can check out the full post, here.
