Astra Yao is the newest character to be added to Zenless Zone Zero in Version 1.5. She is the first limited S-Rank Support and a great addition to the roster. Astra Yao is a powerful buffer who provides a ton of utility to the team in the form of DMG and ATK buffs; however, what makes her unique is her ability to heal. Astra Yao is a powerful Support unit that can buff the team in various ways. If used properly, she can give Bonus Damage, CRIT DMG, and even a whopping 1200 ATK buff. Well, how do I use her properly, you might ask? The answer to that is simple. Just press her EX Special. That’s right. Astra Yao is one of the easiest units in ZZZ to play. To activate all of her buffs, you just need to use her EX Special to get Astra Yao into her [Idyllic Cadenza State] or her singing state for short. In this state, Astra Yao gives all of the buffs mentioned above, and she also allows your two remaining characters to alternate constantly through Quick Assists. This makes Astra Yao a great buffer for double DPS teams, such as Jane Doe teams, and other Disorder teams. Lastly, we talked about how Astra Yao can heal. She does this through her Ultimate. Each time Astra Yao casts her ultimate, she heals the whole team for a set amount of HP. With the recent changes to ultimates in ZZZ, Astra Yao’s ultimate is now a great supportive tool that will make drawn-out fights way easier!

Astra Yao Best W-Engines

When it comes to W-Engines, then you definitely want to go for Astra Yao’s signature weapon, the [Elegant Vanity]. This W-Engine gives Astra Yao a ridiculous buff to her ATK, making it easier for her to reach the threshold for her ATK buff, and it also fixes some of her energy issues. In addition, it further boosts the whole team’s damage by up to 20%, making it a truly amazing support weapon. If you do not want to go for it, however, there are other choices below for you to pick from.

When the equipper consumes 25 or more Energy, the DMG dealt by all squad members increases by 10%, stacking up to 2 times, and lasting 20s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
