Trigger is an S-Rank Electric Stun Agent that focuses on building Daze while off-field and also supports the team with various buffs and some [Aftershock] damage. While her kit may seem complicated on paper, Trigger is easy to play. All you need to do is build up her [Pulse] gauge, which you can do by using her HOLD Basic Attacks. After this, you can swap her off the field and forget about her until the end of the fight. Trigger appears to offer assist attacks whenever your on-field character performs a basic attack or an EX Special, and when doing these attacks, she consumes the Pulse gauge you just built up. Thankfully, the Pulse consumption of Trigger’s Aftershock attacks is so negligible that you don’t have to worry about managing Trigger’s Pulse gauge all that often.
Apart from her Aftershock assist attacks, Trigger also provides the whole team with a 35% buff to damage, which gets even bigger if you manage to get her signature W-Engine. In addition, her Additional Ability only requires that she’s paired with an Electric or Attack Agent, making her work with almost any DPS unit in the game.

Trigger Best W-Engines
Rank | W-Engine | Effect |
1 | ![]() Spectral Gaze |
When the equipper hits an enemy with an Aftershock, causing Electric DMG, the target's DEF is reduced by 25% for 5s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. When this effect is triggered, if the equipper is not the active character, they gain 1 stack of Spirit Lock, up to a maximum of 3 stacks. This can trigger only once per use of a skill. Each stack of Spirit Lock increases the equipper's Impact by 4%, lasting 12s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. At full stacks of Spirit Lock, the equipper's Impact increases by an additional 8%. |
2 | ![]() Ice Jade Teapot |
When a Basic Attack hits an enemy, gain 1 stack of Tea-riffic. Each stack of Tea-riffic increases the user's Impact by 0.7%, stacking up to 30 times, and lasting for 8s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. Upon acquiring Tea-riffic, if the equipper possesses stacks of Tea-riffic greater than or equal to 15, all squad members' DMG is increased by 20% for 10s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. |

3 | ![]() Precious Fossilized Core |
When the target's HP is no lower than 50%, the equipper inflicts 10% more Daze to the target. When the target's HP is no lower than 75%, this bonus is further increased by 10%. |
As for W-Engines, the best choice you can go for is without a doubt Trigger’s signature W-Engine, [Spectral Gaze], thanks to its great boost to CRIT Rate and effect. Having said that, if you do not have the resources to spend on it, you can always opt for the [Ice-Jade Teapot] if you have a copy lying around, or lastly, the [Precious Fossilized Core] as an F2P option.

CRIT RATE = CRIT DMG > ATK% > PEN = ATK |
For Drive Discs, your best choice is the 4-piece Shockstar Disco thanks to its Impact stat and Daze boost. You can then use the two remaining slots for the Woodpecker Electro to further gain a nice CRIT Rate boost. Most of Trigger’s Daze comes from her Core Passive, which states that the more CRIT Rate she has, the more Daze her [Aftershock] attacks do, so you generally want to shoot for 90% CRIT Rate on Trigger.
