With the Regular Season now over, it's time for the long-awaited Bo3 Fearless Draft format that has been quite the success across all of the major competitive regions. Although the LEC is a little bit late to the part, fans and analysts will finally get to see the top 8 teams compete in a very dynamic and exciting environment.
With that being said, let us take a look at the first round of matches for the 2025 LEC Winter Playoffs.

2025 LEC Winter Playoffs Upper Round Matches
The 2025 LEC Winter Playoffs will feature a double elimination bracket consisting of best-of-three (Bo3) and best-of-five (Bo5) matches across two brackets. The entire Playoffs will feature the new Fearless Draft format so we might get to see some pocket picks and champions we rarely see on the competitive stage.
Keep in mind that the start time might vary depending if there are technical difficulties or the outcome of matches.

The first day will feature some banger games as FNC finally rose to the top and toppled down G2's reign, whereas TH struggled for most of their games, possibly due to the rookies that have been enlisted.
Afterward we will get to see G2 go against GX in the hopes of returning back to form, but they will have a lot of challenges given how GX has also shown some amazing performances in the Regular Season.

The second pair of matches will have MKOI facing BDS which could be very fun to watch given how MKOI got the first-ever LTA North (LCS) to LEC transfer in the likes of Jojopyun. BDS has been rather inconsistent, given the amount of changes the team went through in terms of its roster, but nuc might be able to carry the team to victory.
Afterward, KC will be facing VIT and with the hype around KC's young ADC talent Kaliste, we might see quite the banger series. VIT has been performing much better compared to last year, as it finally seems that the roster has found some stability, despite the Hylissang factor.
All in all, the first Playoffs weekend will be a blast as fans are already predicting that FNC will win it all, whereas others look to KC, MKOI, and G2 to represent LEC at the First Stand tournament.
