Helldivers 2: Throwing Snowballs Crashes the Game

The main goal in Helldivers 2 is to blow up bugs and destroy Automatons. Killing is what we love and what we do best in HD2. In the fight for liberty, every bullet is one step closer to completing our mission. It doesn't matter if the bugs fly or charge, we will burn out the infestation. Tanks and Striders will all come face-to-face with our bombs.

Nothing can distract us from our great quest for democracy. Nothing will stop us! Nothing except snowball fights.

Game Crashes Caused by Snowball Fights in Helldivers 2

Some planets, like Heath, are covered in snow. Fellow helldivers have discovered that you can take a little break from our busy lives of killing, and throw snowballs at each other. Before you all go running to Heath and join the fun, be ready for Helldivers 2 to crash if you do. 

After groups of players reported problems, Arrowhead investigated and returned with the verdict that the snowball fights were causing the game to crash. They have announced that a fix is on the way but until then, refrain from playing in the snow.

It does bring back the memories of being told off by our parents. As soon as players start to have fun without killing things, there is a problem. It feels like any excuse to get us back to the war.

Some players have questioned this latest news in Helldivers 2. Being able to have snowball fights isn't new content, yet now the problem has appeared. Reddit members have also asked why Arrowhead can't simply shut down the ability to make snowballs until they fix the problem. Consider the game prompts you to make one; it does make sense. 

However, the developers behind Helldivers 2 have stated that they didn't include the function to disable individual aspects of the game. Most fans don't seem too concerned; they are fighting the good fight, but some players are expressing their disappointment. The game does have many issues that cause crashes. Such a small thing like a snowball fight doesn't seem worth losing all your progress on a mission. 

With the latest Major Order in Helldivers 2 leading us to fight the Automatons, fans doubt the snowballing problem will be a high priority for Arrowhead. Keep on fighting and no more playing around in the snow. We have bots to destroy.
