LoL Battle Pass Skin Changes

League of Legends players often discuss the quality of battle pass skins. Some of them do feel underwhelming compared to other cosmetics. Riot promises to make the skins better with:
- More distinct visual effects
- Pronounced model changes
- A wider variety of themes (instead of rigidly sticking to seasonal motifs such as Noxus)
These upgrades won’t be in time for the Act 2 battle pass launching on March 6th, but they’ll be here in Season 2, starting in May.
- Additionally, if you unlock a skin but don’t own the champion, you’ll now receive the champion for free as well.

Fairer Mission Design
Missions tied to the battle pass are also getting a revamp. The team behind League of Legends is aware of the feedback that some objectives felt restrictive, leading to frustration rather than fun. As a result, they are:
- Removing missions that require purchased skins
- Reworking difficult missions (e.g., "Destroy 5 Turret Plates in one game," which was nearly impossible for ARAM players)
- Doubling the XP earned from TFT for the League battle pass
These changes will supposedly make progression feel fairer and more inclusive.
Other LoL Changes
Aside from the battle pass, Riot addressed other questionable shifts in League of Legends. Free Hextech Chests are getting hit with changes the hardest. While Riot remains committed to offering free rewards, they’ve adjusted how often skins are given away to ensure the game remains financially viable.
