Tier List Explanation

This tier list will examine some of the most-played League of Legends champions in the top lane. Keep in mind that this is for Emerald+ divisions.
- S-Tier: The best champions you can use to ensure you are always victorious.
- A-Tier: Great options but lacking just slightly, either in terms of damage or utility.
- B-Tier: Viable and reliable in most situations, you can manage rather decently.
NOTE: Although this tier list strives to be as objective as possible in terms of viability, you should not limit yourself to strictly adhere to this list, but rather experiment and see which champion feels fun to play with.

S-Tier Top Lane Champions

Simple to play, Garen is keeping his S-tier position. He's especially good in low elo Ranked games, if you're feeling stuck and you need a reliable insta-pick champion that can carry you easily.

Ornn is killing it in the current meta. He's especially good in teams that don't have good engage and peeling. This can easily turn him into an amazing Ranked pick for LoL players wanting to provide their team with extra stats.

We all hate Teemo's sneaky mushroom damage - it gets you when you least expect it. Don't look down on this small fella, he'll definitely do some insane damage as the game progresses.

Mundo goes where he pleases, but this time he's staying... in the S tier. He offers tankiness, anti-CC passive, and strong sustain.
Other S-Tier Champions
- Warwick
- Shen
- Fiora
- Jax
- Darius
- Sett
- Riven
- Renekton
- Aatrox
- Ambessa

A-Tier Top Lane Champions

Quinn got hit by a small nerf to her Q damage in the recent LoL update. Quinn is a great pick for aggressive laners who love roaming. She brings high mobility and burst damage to the Summoner's Rift.

LoL Patch 25.15 brought a nerf to Irelia. Her health regen is going down by half - it's now 3.5. However, she's still a very stable Ranked choice, killing it with her mobility. Irelia is great against melee matchups and scales hard into mid-game. Great outplay potential!

Kled is the only champion that benefited from a buff in the recent League of Legends patch. His passive's dismount resistance is now much better. Since the last update, he is a decent bruiser-diver hybrid in ranked, where chaotic fights favor his aggressive playstyle.
Other A-Tier Champions
- Poppy
- Olaph
- Mordekaiser
- Urgot
- Nasus
- Jayce
- Malphite
- Gwen

B-Tier Top Lane Champions

Pantheon is another LoL champion that got hit by nerfs in the recent patch. However, the nerfs is related to his Jungle play, so he's still a great top lane pick. Pantheon offers high burst damage and lane bullying, which might lead to snowballing if used correctly.

Yone mains might be disappointed, but he's still in the B-rank. Look at the positive side, though - he has decent scaling, mobility, and high outplay potential. However, your skill with the champion is what will truly make the difference. No free wins just for the pick here...

Voli can promise strong early-game pressure with his turret-disabling ultimate, making him a great pick for snowballing lanes. A pretty safe tanky choice in the current meta.
Other B-Tier Champions
- K'Sante
- Akali
- Nasus
- Yasuo
- Singed
- Aurora
- Trundamere
