The First Descendant Hotfix 1.0.7 finally dropped on August 13, 2024, and we are all excited to see the bug fixes, content improvements, and character updates. Although Nexon had a questionable reputation in the past, fans are now excited to see them taking action and delivering an amazing gameplay experience for all players.
The most common complaint so far has been about the difficulty of the Hard Intercept Battle Frost Walker, and we are pleased to announce that the developers have already resolved this issue, which is a very promising start to the new Patch 1.0.7.

Fixed the amount of Recovery displayed on the skill tooltip for Yujin so that it matches the improvements from Hotfix 1.0.6.

- FIXED: Luna no longer dances when Noise Surge is combined with an enhanced skill
You can now gain Weapon Proficiency when you defeat an enemy with Luna's Stage Presence. Facial graphics are also corrected.

The First Descendant Patch 1.0.7 Content Improvements
In Hotfix 1.0.7, if you don't select any of the options during an Interim Review in Special Operations, Abort will be automatically selected for you. As promised, the difficulty of the Hard Intercept Battle Frost Walker has been lowered. This means that destroying Frenzied parts will now generate two Embers, and the maximum threshold of the Frenzy Gauge has been increased, reducing the number of times the Colossus becomes Frenzied.
Characters will no longer receive damage in hazardous areas after the end of the Void Intercept Battle, and when you defeat Molten Fortress, the lava will be removed immediately. Moreover, defeating Swamp Walker will erase the Disease status effect. The restart option for Void Intercept Battles, Special Operations, and Infiltration Operations is separated into two types: Restart Mission and Start with the current Squad. The time available for the latter is 60 seconds.

The First Descendant Patch 1.0.7 Field Improvements
Apart from the fixed display animation for checking Amorphous Materials, monsters in Echo Swamp - Derelict Covert will spawn faster, and the HP of the creatures in Void Fusion Reactors will be reduced, dropping more ammo and recovery orbs when you defeat them. The Support Drone in Echo Swamp Outpost has also been fixed.
The Void Fragment reward that used to give you all four kinds of Shards was changed from 4,3,3,3 to 3,3,3,3. Moreover, the problem in the Laboratory, where effects activated when defeating an enemy would still occur even when Vulgus invincibility was enabled, was completely resolved.

The First Descendant Patch 1.0.7 Battle Pass & UI/UX Changes
The difficulty of Weekly Challenges for Battle Pass Week 7 and 8 has been significantly reduced, and the amount of reward EXP and Supply Coins is now higher. Moreover, if you select all additional options in Hard Infiltration Operations, they will remain selected even if you change them. The Grappling Hook Disabled and Jump Disabled have been removed from this list, and you can now check the tooltip of Amorphous Material icons in the Change Selectable Reward screen.
Generally, tooltips for equipment will show up faster, and the options will be displayed on the icon. Set effects of External Components will also be visible right next to them. You can use the Module Acquisition Info to check whether a Module can be obtained by Combining. The Consumables menu will allow you to see the currently available consumables, and you will not be able to receive Lost and Found items if you don't have enough inventory space.

There was an issue where the display of Firearm Critical Hit Rate was switched with Skill Critical Hit Rate in the 4-piece set effect tooltip for the External Component Acrobat, but thankfully, it is now fixed. In languages other than English, the tooltip for the Spiral Tidal Wave Skill Module did not have its full description, which was also added. You can no longer remove parts at the same time as your partner or opponent when using the Mid-Air Maneuvering Sub Module.
If you're playing in a 4-member party at the Fortress Infiltration Operations Quarantine Zone and Heart of the Fortress, you don't have to worry about the Champion Monster spawning. This means that acquiring the Balanced Plasma Battery is way easier. The monster kill score for the Infiltration Operation The Haven is also increased. The Unknown Laboratory now allows teleportations to the No Resurrection Zone, and melee enemies will not intermittently stop.

The First Descendant Patch 1.0.7 Bug Fixes & Additional Improvements
Applying a filter at the Lab and re-entering the menu will no longer cause the filter to not be applied to the list despite being maintained. As far as the Console version is concerned, Peace Maker now shows up in the Weapon Material Research Auto-Search, and finding Fire, Chill, and Electric is easier due to the auto-suggestions options for Descendant Modules.
