Astra Yao is finally here, and she leaves her mark in Zenless Zone Zero as the first-ever limited S-Rank Support, and oh, does she deliver on that title. Astra Yao is an amazing, and we mean amazing support that can greatly buff the whole team’s damage while opening the possibility for double DPS teams and even introducing healing into the game. In this guide, we’ll go over three sample teams for Astra Yao that will bring out the most of her utility, but you should not limit yourselves to them, as support units can fit anywhere you want them to and will still be pretty useful!

Astra Yao Best Teams
Astra Yao is a powerful S-Rank support unit that can increase the whole team’s damage by giving them DMG% buffs, CRIT DMG% buffs, and an amazing 1200 ATK buff. On top of that, she can also heal the whole team with her ultimate, adding a nice touch of utility to her already loaded kit. Due to being a support unit that only requires an Attack or Anomaly Agent to fulfill her Additional Ability requirement, Astra Yao can be used on almost any team that features an Attack or Anomaly Agent. Add to that her ability to unlock double DPS teams, and you have one of the perfect units to pair with Miyabi, Jane Doe, or any other Disorder-based unit.

This is currently the team that can deal the most damage in Zenless Zone Zero. Miyabi’s ridiculous multipliers only grow stronger with all of the buffs that Astra Yao gives out, and the ability to constantly swap her with Yanagi makes triggering Disorder effects even easier. The constant swapping of Miyabi and Yanagi will allow you to constantly apply both the Frost and Shock Anomalies, leading to great and constant damage output. The best thing? Both Miyabi and Yanagi greatly benefit from all of Astra Yao’s buffs, making this a truly powerful team.

If you aren’t a fan of Anomaly Agents or just the Disorder playstyle, then you don’t need to worry, as Astra Yao can easily fit into any attack-based team as well. While we recommend Zhu Yuan here, you are free to swap her for any Attack Agent of your choice and roll with it. In this team, you will constantly be swapping between Zhu Yuan and Qingyi to quickly stun enemies and deal a ton of damage with Zhu Yuan. Astra Yao’s buffs benefit both Zhu Yuan and Qingyi, who both scale based on ATK and CRIT DMG, so nothing is wasted here either, making this a great team for some fast clears.

The free-to-play Astra Yao team consists of:
Thanks to Harumasa being given for free last patch, he is currently the strongest F2P Attack unit that any player can use. Couple this with the fact that he can greatly benefit from all of the buffs that Astra Yao gives, and you have a solid core for a decent free-to-play team. The last unit in this team can honestly be anyone. Here we’ve gone with Anby thanks to her ability to stun enemies, and with the quick assists that you’ll get thanks to Astra Yao, you’ll be able to quickly weaken enemies and allow Harumasa to go wild. You can also swap Anby for Nicole, but this way you will be missing out on the stunning enemies, and that is where most of Harumasa’s damage comes from, so we generally recommend going for Anby!
