Varesa is a 5-star Electro unit and one of the two new characters that were added to Genshin Impact during the Version 5.5 update. She is a strong DPS unit that relies on Plunge Attacks to deal the majority of her damage and can be used in a ton of teams that bring out the best in her. In this guide, we’ll go over some of Varesa’s best teams so that you can start using her as soon as you get her.

Varesa Best Teams
As we’ve already touched on this, Varesa is a unit that primarily deals Plunge Attack DMG. This means that she does great with units that boost said damage, such as, for example, Xianyun. However, as of Version 5.5, Varesa’s best teammate actually happens to be the new 4-star Electro unit, Iansan. Iansan works extremely well with Varesa, and they are clearly made to be used in conjunction; as such, you will be seeing Iansan in all of Varesa’s teams.

Varesa | Iansan | Mavuika | Chevreuse |
Varesa’s premium team consists of:
This overloaded team greatly benefits from Varesa’s ability to apply electro damage and Chevreuse’s ability to greatly boost overloaded damage. While Mavuika generally prefers to be used as a main DPS, she does an amazing job as a sub-DPS in this team, providing a ton of pyro application and greatly boosting the DMG dealt.

Varesa | Iansan | Xianyun | Xilonen |
Varesa’s alternative team consists of:
This team provides Varesa a lot of Plunge Attack damage boosts while also giving her a lot of boosts from both Xianyun and Xilonen. Having said that, this team uses three limited 5-star units and will certainly be a bit harder to get than Varesa’s premium team, while also being somewhat weaker.

Varesa | Iansan | Bennett | Sucrose |
Varesa’s free-to-play team consists of:
- Varesa
- Iansan
- Bennett
- Sucrose
This team allows Varesa to get a ton of damage and damage thanks to the inclusion of Bennett, and she also gets some quality-of-life support thanks to Sucrose’s gathering. This team is easy to whip up and play, as most players already have Bennett and Sucrose built up. And while this team might perform slightly worse than some of the other variants above, it is still a decent option if you’ve just gotten Varesa and don’t have the other 5-star characters.
