Let's take a look at the in-game dispatch announcing aerial gunships are being developed by the bots.

In the past few weeks in Helldivers 2, flying bugs known as Shriekers have caused a little drama. The Ministry of Truth at first refused to believe they existed and called anyone who argued bug sympathizers. Then the authorities sent out an in-game dispatch saying they found flying bugs and always knew such a thing could be possible.

It seems that the powers-that-be in Helldivers 2 learned from their past mistakes and have announced that Automatons are developing aerial gunships. We can only assume that the new robotic aircraft will be appearing soon but as of yet, there have been no sightings.

Helldivers 2: Automaton Aerial Gunships Dispatch

Much to the dismay of all fighters for liberty, the war seems far from over. We can only hope that flying robots are all we have to deal with. The dispatch in Helldivers 2 hints at something far bigger and many soldiers have ignored it. Here is the full dispatch:

The Automaton Comms Array on Troost has been decommissioned. Strangely, it appears to have been broadcasting outside the Galactic Frontier. Analytics are working to determine more but much data was already deleted.

However, we did discover a transmission containing blueprints for a new Automaton type: aerial gunships. With this advance warning, our hardworking factory laborers have been instructed to accelerate production of our most effective anti-air weaponry.

Fans have already assumed that the new support weapon, the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon, will be the go-to gun to take down the gunships. The topic on everyone's mind is we can only hope to find more SEAF SAM sites to combat the new Automaton technology.

It is true that if we see a large number of Automaton aerial gunships, we won't be in for a fun conflict. The dropships were bad enough. We might stand a chance armed with anti-air weaponry, but there will be no cover and nowhere to hide.

Without remorse, we have blown up everything the Automatons have thrown at us. We have destroyed Annihilator Tanks, Scout Striders, and Devastators. We're not scared of flying bots, are we?

Nobody is seeing the massive hint within the dispatch. The Automatons were broadcasting outside the galaxy. We've been thinking we are close to having the bots and bugs under control in Helldivers 2, but what is waiting in dark space?

Will the Illuminate be coming soon? Will we see the Automatons' parent race, the Cyborgs, from the original Helldivers game? Who knows what is coming for us next?

The thought of having another aerial enemy to fight is enough to worry anyone but the idea a whole new faction may be coming is terrifying. Keep an eye on the sky when you're on deployment but don't distract yourself from the big problem. Be ready for when the next enemy of democracy comes. I do not doubt we will emerge victorious.
