The Diplomat Season 2 Episode 3 Eidra & Dennison

Once they get to the safe house, Eidra starts questioning Roylin. This is especially important, considering that she asked Dennison to stop bothering and accusing Lenkov, and he got killed the day after. Margaret wants to leave, but Eidra won't let her. In the meantime, Kate is in a meeting with Dennison. She apologizes repeatedly about Lenkov's death and for slowing down the process. However, everyone thinks that it was Trowbridge who killed Lenkov, and they want to fire him.

Dennison is planning to tell Trowbridge about it during the Fourth of July celebration, but Stuart is trying to convince him that Kate's party isn't the best place for this conversation to happen. He asks Kate to speak with Eidra first and tries to show her why he cares so much about it.

Hal is at home, trying the apple pies for the party when Kate comes in and tells him that Dennison is about to remove Trowbridge from his position. This means that Dennison himself has a chance of getting the job of Prime Minister, which is more than important for Kate's career and development. Hal admits that the entire party is funded by Brad, who's planning to pay for Kate's vice-presidential campaign. This starts a huge fight about whether it's a good idea for Kate to run as Vice President in the first place.

After the tension calms down, they prepare for the party, and Kate informs Eidra about Dennison's plan. She answers that the public doesn't care about Lenkov's death and that Margaret Roylin has tried to leave the safe house.

The Diplomat Season 2 Episode 3 Stuart & Dennison

At the end of Episode 3, Stuart tells Kate that the White House wants her to tell Trowbridge the news. Moreover, he tells her that he doesn't support her decision to run for Vice President because of the behavior that put him and Hal in a dangerous situation and got Ronnie killed. It turns out that there were some British MPs who turned down the party invitation, and the support for the assassination of Lenkov is only growing. Dennison decides not to talk to Trowbridge at all, but to simply tell everyone that he was involved in the bombing, so he can just resign.

Nicol invites Kate and Hal to Scotland, and Dennison gets upset when they accept the offer. While Kate is giving a speech, Stuart leaves the party with a woman, and Hal ends up getting a panic attack due to PTSD from the bombing. Have fun and stay tuned; the best is yet to come!
